Sampling Systems

The Sampling System identifies the unique sample systems and sampling plans used in the inspection process as well as the frequency of the inspection. The sampling system can be comprised of many different states (usually Normal, Reduced, or Tightened). The rules (based on the number of accepted and rejected lot ratios to the number of lots inspected) can be specified for switching from one state to another. These are identified as switching rules. The states can vary but the most common are:

Discontinuation of inspection (STOP) or reduced inspection (reduce the sampling) can also be identified.

User Rights

The following rights must be assigned to a user for that user to manage or view sampling systems:

Rights Description

SYS_VIEW

Allows the user to view sampling systems.

SYS_MANAGE

Allows the administrator to create, view, edit, and delete a Sampling System record.
